I did run into difficulty assembling the crate. One of the latches you have to undo to put the "wall" up was truly nearly impossible to unlatch. It was grueling but after about 15 minutes worth of painful attempts I managed it. Hopefully this was just a flaw in mine and no one else will have that problem.. or they'll figure out how to undo the latch with a tool.
Features: The Ultima Pro is a wire-style crate that is constructed from the strongest and thickest wire Midwest Homes for Pets uses for any crate. It is equipped with two doors (one on the front and one on the side), which each feature two slide-bolt latches. And while it is a sturdy crate, the Ultima Pro collapses quickly and features a strong carrying handle.
I wish I would have seen the most recent review. Our puppy, key word 4 month old puppy, was able to destroy this defective and cheap product on its third use. We have used many other kennels with this dog and another adult and never had problems before. The seller is expecting me to pay return shipping on a defect item that is now trash so that I can get a refund. Do not buy this product or from this seller. This is definitely not meant for XL dogs as it states since a puppy was able to wreck it.
Selecting wire XXL Dog Crates can be overwhelming at first. Start by selecting the number of doors for your XXL dog crate. Consider where the dog cage will be located and if more that 1-door is needed. Will you ever need to relocate the dog crate to another location and if so, will multiple doors be necessary for your dogs cage? This will significantly decrease the number of dog crates for selection. Next determine style, folding, etc. or consider a puppy crate package.
