How do I transition my pup from kennel to being free? I’m so afraid of her peeing in the house while I’m not looking. She does very well in her kennel. I let her roam the house and she uses the bathroom in the backyard. However, I don’t know if she’s willing to wait for me to open the back door or she’s just going to pee in the house. I clock her bladder but I’m ready for her to let me know when she has to go. At times, I am letting her in the yard but she doesn’t have to use the bathroom. I rather let her out to the bathroom 6-10 times a day oppose to waiting for her to tell me. I am just tired of her not telling me. I don’t want to be upset with her so to avoid that I just let her out about every two hours un until 9:30. Her last meal is at 8pm. What to do?
There's no reason your master suite can't be the master suite of your pet as well! This crate doubles as a table, so it's a perfect accessory for when you want to give your pet a little bit more room in the home, but can't sacrifice surface space. Constructed of eco-friendly rubberwood with a waterproof and absorbent melamine covered floor, this is pet accommodation at its finest. Worried about Terry teething on the wood panels? Don't fret: a secure poly-panel keeps the removable swing-through...
I have a friend, who doesn’t have such crate and thinks that is it’s soft and made from a textile it’ll be always dirty and wet. But I’m here just to say that if you’re thinking in such way, you’re absolutely wrong! Just look at the crates made from a waterproof material and which are comfortable for your pet to stay not only indoors but in a different transport too.
Transporting your pet in a travel crate may be very stressful not only for your cat or dog but for you too. I’ve bought a cheap one in a supermarket, I thought it doesn’t really matter, just a simple box with windows. But my mom presented a good one, which she was choosing for a long time, and it changed our travel routine so much! My cat doesn’t try to escape his temporary home, he’s just sitting in a crate with pleasure. Be mindful and read some reviews, don’t be like me.

My Fiance and I recently brought home a 10-week old lab-pit mix. She is just the sweetest and cuddliest dog. We are having a tough time getting used to the crate though. She knows when my fiance and I have to go to work she has to go in the crate. We have tried giving her a bone to keep her occupied, putting an article of our clothing in the crate so she recognizes our scent, she has her favorite toys in the crate, but she whines for hours on end. For the last 2 weeks she has had 3 accidents in her crate, which is not bad at all! The puppy is in the crate from 8:30-12 she is out for an hour when my fiance comes home from lunch then she is in the crate from 1-3 and is let out again by my brother. Then she is out of her crate when my fiance gets home from work at 5. Any tips on how we can make this a less painful process and something she actually isn’t afraid of? She is also sleeping at the edge of the bed right now. Thank you!

When your pup is eating and spending a short period in their crate following a meal without any sign of distress, it’s time to start crating your pup for short periods while you’re at home. Call your dog over to the crate with a treat and an accompanying command – many use “kennel” or “kennel up” – and once your dog is inside, give them another treat, shut the door, and sit quietly with your pup for a few minutes before letting them out, giving them praise and another treat. From here, slowly add in minutes when you are away from the crate until your pup is comfortable with you being out of sight for 20-30 minutes. From here, you may begin leaving the house with your dog crated for short periods of time.
Selecting wire XXL Dog Crates can be overwhelming at first. Start by selecting the number of doors for your XXL dog crate. Consider where the dog cage will be located and if more that 1-door is needed. Will you ever need to relocate the dog crate to another location and if so, will multiple doors be necessary for your dogs cage? This will significantly decrease the number of dog crates for selection. Next determine style, folding, etc. or consider a puppy crate package.

I wish I would have seen the most recent review. Our puppy, key word 4 month old puppy, was able to destroy this defective and cheap product on its third use. We have used many other kennels with this dog and another adult and never had problems before. The seller is expecting me to pay return shipping on a defect item that is now trash so that I can get a refund. Do not buy this product or from this seller. This is definitely not meant for XL dogs as it states since a puppy was able to wreck it.

Measuring your dog is the only way that you're going to be able to select the most appropriately sized best travel dog crate. Some pet carriers will give weight guidelines and other will give breed specifications, but you shouldn't trust these guidelines. Two dogs, both weighing 55 pounds, can have completely different measurements, and the same can be said for two different dogs of the same breed.

Dogs are naturally den animals. In the wild, a dog’s den is their home, a safe space where he can sleep, retreat, and raise pups without fear of danger, without outside threat. For a domesticated dog, a crate fulfills this natural need for a safe haven. If introduced and used correctly, the crate will be where your dog willingly chooses to sleep, hide when it storms, and quite possibly, lay around in for no other reason other than it’s their very own space.

For what it is, PetPeppy is easily the best dog travel carrier compared to others because it's more sturdy and safe for dogs. My friends went to Hawaii and left me their dog. Everything was ok until I didn’t receive an important call that I should have gone to another city. It was a catastrophe! I was searching for a travel crate knowing nothing about dogs, crates and travelling with them. But the first one I’ve bought was quite ok, I know that my friends still use it. And now I have a dog too and try to find something really good.

Wire, metal crates are a top pick for crate training for several reasons: Their mesh-like, collapsible structure makes them easy to disassemble and transport, and, when constructed, provides a high level of visibility and ventilation for your pup while in the crate. Like plastic crates, metal, wire crates are also easy to clean out should your pup have an accident in their home. Sturdy and often escape proof, these crates make a great option for growing dogs as you can purchase a larger size and easily close off the extra space with a divider while they’re smaller, removing it or moving it as they grow.
This crate is a piece of junk -- literally. We bought it for our very calm and docile Irish Setter. In less than two hours, he had completely destroyed the gate and had the cheap bars pointing in every direction and was at the door to the garage to greet us. The spot welds were worthless as it came apart very easily. When I contacted the seller about the crate, they responded that they were sorry about problems with the "table" and would replace it if I paid to send it back! I wrote back that it was an inferior product, why would I want another one and that I expected a full refund and a return label. I even included pictures of the gate. Now they tell me that they won't take it back because it has been damaged?? HELLO! Why do you think I am returning it. I would not buy a single thing from this vendor -- RUN don't walk away from all their products!! I intend to call amazon directly about this vendor! In less than 2 hours it was destroyed!!
The Variocage is more of a machine than just a crate. Although it may have a slightly off-putting appearance, this powerful crate is designed to take the harshest punishment imaginable without a scratch. With hydraulic locks, thick metal bars, and even an emergency escape hatch, this crate is an impressive bit of handiwork. It has been proven sturdy in all different types of crash tests, and comes in sizes for any size dog.

The Single-Door Home Training Pet Crate is great for dogs of all ages and temperaments. This training kennel can be used to help contain your new dog or puppy until he or she is familiar with the house rules. I recently adopted a 7 week old German Shepherd puppy and want to crate train him. I take him out every couple of hours to use the restroom and play with him. When I take him outside he’ll use the restroom and we praise him. However, as soon as we bring him in the house to play he eliminates randomly. They are little spots of pee. I suggested to my family that we only play with our pup outside so we don’t have these accidents. I’m afraid I’m confusing him, because if he’s not in the crate he’s outside. I don’t have experience crate training or house training.

Favorite Top Load Portable Carrier – Pet owners with very small and teacup dog breeds who are looking to take short trips, this can be the winner. Favorite's best dog travel crate alternative has a good looking design and is the cheapest crate of all listed here. However, it's only good if you're not traveling long distances since the materials appear to be low quality and I wouldn't trust this on a plane.

My wife and I got a dog bed from Texas Custom Kennels. Robert, the owner, is as brilliant as they come. Amazing customer service, regular progress updates, and the dog bed came out beautiful. His compassion for his customers and craft is easy to see. We live in rural California (off a dirt road that the GPS has trouble finding) so we were worried about delivery. The delivery process was easy. We got an email when it shipped, an email a day before it arrived, and it showed up right on time. Now that the dog bed is our most beautiful piece of furniture in the house, I suppose the custom dog kennel is next... THANK YOU Robert!
